After over 25 years of delicious cookie bouquets, Edible Arrangements is expanding its horizons in a big way and shortening its name. The brand is launching edibles.com, a new THC market and delivery service that’s debuting in Texas, as well as Florida, Georgia and North Carolina.
The launch comes months after Texas Governor Greg Abbott vetoed a bill that would ban THC products statewide, a surprising move that broke from the priorities of his party contemporaries, especially Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, who continued to lobby for an outright ban through two special legislative sessions that both failed to pass. Earlier this month, Abbott signed an executive order that placed a ban on minors purchasing THC products in Texas, but the product remains legal.
Heather Fazio, director of the Texas Cannabis Policy Center, spoke to us earlier this month about her appreciation, albeit surprise, at Abbott’s history of progressive stances on cannabis products in the state.
“We’ve seen his position reflected first in the veto, and now with his executive order, taking a real common-sense approach to cannabis policy, hemp policy, specifically here,” Fazio said. “I’m grateful to see him and the Texas House and some senators taking this seriously and looking at it with an eye on the future.”
Now, through edibles.com, THC is becoming all the more accessible. The new service includes a wide variety of THC products, ranging from the top-selling brands in drinks, chews and enhancers.
What’s In Store
Shop by product type or by a product’s benefits, such as sleep, relax, uplift and energy. Each product clearly displays the exact milligrams of CBD, THC, or CBG, ensuring you know what you’re getting.
For now, you can purchase gummies from three brands (Wana, Camino and Ayrloom) and a select number of enhancers; the company says drinks will be added soon.
But here’s the big selling point: edibles.com is offering same-day or next-day delivery of its products, so no more late-night sprints to the 3 a.m. hemp store. Just plan your party a little bit ahead, and your vice will show up at your doorstep. While currently online-only, the company says that brick-and-mortar retail stores are coming, with a small bodega-style shop set to open in Atlanta later this year.
We’ll check back in if Dallas ever gets its own retail store, but for now, we’re excited at the opportunity to end a stressful workday by enjoying some hand-delivered THC straight to our door.
