Over the weekend, Demi Lovato performed a “one-night-only” show at the Hollywood Palladium, previewing a potential tour for her ninth studio album, It’s Not That Deep.
Shortly after that sold-out, celebrated performance, she officially announced that she’s returning to the road with her first major headlining run in three years. The It’s Not That Deep Tour, with special guest ADÉLA, will bring Lovato’s dance pop songs to life. The tour plans to stop in three cities in Texas.
Fri May 22 – Dallas, TX – American Airlines Center
Sun May 24 – Austin, TX – Moody Center
Mon May 25 – Houston, TX – Toyota Center

Early reviews after the album’s release on Friday, Oct. 24, indicate that Lovato just wants to have fun again (don’t we all?). Rolling Stone gave the album four stars, with staff writer Tomás Mier writing, “Lovato is back to the sound where she shines brightest. Teaming up with pop-production mastermind Zhone, she leans into playful synths, club-ready energy, and free-flowing sounds that live up to the album’s title nearly throughout.”
“The album feels like a homecoming to her electronic-pop roots. She’s not taking herself too seriously or digging too deeply into heavy subject matter this time around. Instead, she delivers a dance-driven album that skips the ultra-emotional ballads of her past to have some fun — with only a tad of regret.”
Fans can participate in the presale by signing up by Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 10 p.m. ET. The general on-sale begins on Friday, Oct. 31, at 10 a.m. for the U.S. and Canada.
