how to help: volunteer
Success Stories Donate NOW
Volunteer your time
Donating your time is as valuable as your funds. In less time than it takes to watch a movie, you can be helping positively change the life of an at-risk teen. There are many ways you can volunteer at Texans Can! Academies and help in our efforts.
Become a Speakers Bureau Member
Trained speakers go into the community telling not only the story of Texans Can! but also speak about current educational issues. If you have an interest in public speaking and would like to help us get our message to the public, this could be the volunteer opportunity for you. Please fill out the form to apply.
Volunteer at a Special Event
Texans Can! sponsors several special events throughout the year. If you are interested in registering participants, stuffing goody bags or being a hole watcher for a golf tournament, please contact the campus nearest you for event opportunities. Please fill out the form to apply.
Help with Clerical Duties
As with most non-profits there is always a need for clerical assistance for filing, mail processing or data management. If you possess office skills and would like to help, please contact the campus nearest to you. Please fill out the form to apply.
TAAS/TAKS Tutors
Just one hour a week for a 4 - 6 week time frame is all that is needed to help these students. Help students review for their upcoming TAAS/TAKS tests. Please contact the campus nearest you for tutoring opportunities. Please fill out the form to apply.
